What do I do next

The first step is to contact the Church Wardens to discuss your plans.

There is also a useful booklet which can be viewed or downloaded here.

They will take details of your plans and provide some initial information on what we can offer. They will arrange for a priest to conduct your wedding. The priest will arrange to meet with you to talk through your wedding plans in detail.

Among the topics for discussion will be:

  • Dates, timing and costs.
  • Calling the Banns, a legal process to be followed in all weddings.
  • The form of the service, what music, hymns, readings you wish to include.
  • Additional music – either your own or from the choir.
  • What facilities you might need e.g. flowers, car parking, disabled access.
  • Arrangements for photography and video recording.
  • Rehearsal and final arrangements on the day.

Whatever your questions, they can be answered and dealt with well in advance so that when the day itself arrives, you have only to concentrate on one thing – getting married and enjoying the moment!
