Baptisms

Baptism and Christening are exactly the same thing. At All Saints’ we always
refer to this service as Baptism.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was Baptised in the river Jordan at the
beginning of his ministry. Baptism is therefore considered to be very important
for the church. This service is first and foremost a wonderful celebration and
in the service we officially start your child’s journey of Christian faith.

Arranging the Baptism Service

Baptisms are held as part of the normal Sunday worship.

The Churchwardens will be the first point of contact for the parents and
will arrange a suitable date. They can be contacted here.

The booklet which can be viewed or downloaded from the link below has answers to many of the questions people ask when they are planning a baptism.

The Baptism of your Child.
