Memorial Illuminations

The floodlit All Saints’ Church can be seen for miles around.

Standing as a beacon in the darkness, it provides a very personal way of celebrating or of commemorating something or somebody with particular meaning and importance to you.

On New Year’s Eve 1999 the floodlighting for All Saints’ Church was switched on for the first time. It was installed as part of the Millennium Church Floodlighting project in nearly 400 churches and it provides a way for parishioners to commemorate the people and moments in their lives which have special meaning. Since then, the church has been illuminated every single night from dusk until after midnight.

Individuals and families are invited to help sponsor the lights for a week at a time. You may prefer to remain anonymous and just remember, or you may wish to have the dedication in the Parish News and on the church notice board so that others can share the memory.

It costs £25.00 to help sponsor the illumination for one week. This could either be a regular yearly sponsorship or just a single week.

To book a time for your dedication please send an email via the Contact page and we will call you back to discuss details.
